An error message appears and I cannot restore a space

If you encounter an error message while you are trying to restore a space, check the following solutions.

When you have specified a space ID for the space that cannot be restored

Error message

Cannot restore the specified space (id: ***). The space is not eligible for restoration, or 14 days or more have elapsed after the time of deletion.

Solution

You may have specified the space ID of one of the following.

  • A space that has not been deleted
  • A space that does not exist
  • A space that was deleted more than 14 days ago

Check the ID of the space that you want to restore once more, then specify the space ID correctly.

When your license limit has been exceeded

Error message

Specified space (id: ***) could not be restored because the number of spaces or apps exceeds the license limit.
Cannot restore the specified space (id: ***). The space is not eligible for restoration, or 14 days or more have elapsed after the time of deletion.

Solution

Restoring a space will result in the number of spaces in your environment exceeding your license limit. Delete any unused spaces, then perform the restoration.
The number of spaces you can use varies depending on your license plan.
