I Can Create an App in the Portal but Cannot Add an In-Space App

When you try to add an in-space app, there might be a case where you cannot see the "Create App" option (accessed from an option button Image at the right side of the Space screen) or the button to create an app Image in the Space. Possible causes are as follows.

  • You do not have permission to create apps
  • You do not have "Create apps" and "Manage/use/delete apps" permissions for the "Public" app group.

The following sections shows you how to configure each permission.

Configuring Permission to Create Apps

Configure permission to create apps.
This setting is also required when you configure "Create apps" and "Manage/use/delete apps" permissions for the "Public" app group.

  1. Click the setting button Gear icon on the upper right of the screen, and click Kintone Administration.

  2. Click "Permission Management".

  3. Select the "Create apps" checkbox for your target user, department, or group.

  4. Click "Save" on the upper left side of the screen.

Configuring Permission to Create Apps For "Public" App Group

Configure "Create apps" and "Manage/use/delete apps" permissions for the "Public" app group.
You also need to perform action described in "Configuring Permission to Create Apps".

  1. Click the setting button Gear icon on the upper right of the screen, and click Kintone Administration.

  2. Click App Groups.

  3. Click "Permissions" for the app group whose name is "Public".
    If you have changed the app group name "Public" to a different name, click "Permissions" for the app group whose ID is "1".

  4. Select the "Create apps" and "Manage/use/delete apps" for your target user, department, or group.

  5. Click "Save" on the upper left side of the screen.
