Forcing Users to Change Their Passwords on Their Next Login

This page describes a feature that displays a screen requesting users to change their passwords when logging in to kintone.com.

This feature is used for the following purposes.

  • When adding new kintone.com users:
    You can prompt users to change their temporary passwords given by administrators.
  • When any security incidents have occurred:
    You can request users to change their passwords.

Users Who Need to Change Their Passwords

  • Users who are added to kintone.com after this feature has been enabled
  • Users whose password is changed by a Kintone Users & System Administrator after this feature has been enabled

Changes After The Feature Has Been Enabled

When this feature is enabled, the steps to log in is changed.

Requesting Users to Change Their Passwords

  1. Click gear shaped administration menu icon in the header.

  2. Click Users & System Administration.

  4. In the "Password Policy" section, select "Allow users to change password".

  5. In the "Password Policy" section, select "Force users to change their passwords on their next login".

  6. Configure the following settings to meet your needs.

  7. Click Save.
