Setting the Record Title

The title field is used to display an appropriate title for each record in search results or notifications. The value of the title field is displayed as the following items:

  • Header title of notifications
  • Header title of each record that is displayed in search results
  • Page title of the record details screen

By default, the title field is set to the topmost Text field on the form. You can select a specific field for the title.
The following types of fields can be specified for the title field:
  • Record number
  • Text
  • Text Area
  • Rich text
  • Number
  • Calculated
  • Lookup

Setting a Record Title

Use the following procedure to set the Title field:

  1. Click the app setting button Setting button on the upper right of the record view, select "App Settings" tab > "Advanced Settings", and then select Title Field.

  2. Select Set manually if you want to specify a field for the record title. Select a field from the drop-down list.

  3. Click Save in the upper-left of the screen, and then click Update App in the settings screen of the app. Picture
