Setting Title Field

Setting the Title Field, you can change the title of records, which appears in search results and notifications, to a more appropriate one. The Title Field is used for the following:

  • Notification title
  • Record title displayed in search results
  • Page title of each record's "Record Details" screen

The top-most "Text" field on the app form is set as the default Title Field. You can select a field of your choice as the Title Field.
The following are the fields that can be set as the Title Field:
  • Record number
  • Text
  • Text area
  • Rich text
  • Number
  • Calculated
  • Lookup

Steps

The following are the steps to set the Title Field.

  1. Click the app settings button Setting button at the upper right of the "View" screen, select the App Settings tab, and then select Title Field under Advanced Settings.

  2. To set a field of your choice as the Title Field, select Set manually and select a field from the drop-down list.

  3. Click Save at the upper left of the screen.Then, click Update App on the app settings screen. Image
