You can place a Check box field to create a check box on a form.
Check box field is suitable when you want users to select multiple options.
If you provide only one option, users can choose to enable or disable that option.

Similar Fields

  • Multi-choice
    Like the "Check box" field, this field allows users to select multiple options from a collection of options. Also, users can save without selecting any option.
    Note that, unlike "Check box" fields, where you can display the options vertically or horizontally, options for "Multi-choice" fields are always displayed vertically.

  • Radio button
    This field requires users to select one option from a collection of options.

  • Drop-down
    This field allows users to select one option from a collection of options.
    Users can save without selecting any option for this field.

Setting Options

Check box field

  • Name
    • Specify the label for the field.
  • Hide field name
    • Select this option to hide the field name on the "Add Record," "Edit Record," and "Record Details" screens and the screen to print a record.
  • Required field
    • Select this option to require entry of data into the field.
  • Options
    • You can change the ordering of the options by dragging and dropping the arrow icon.
      The values entered here are displayed as the options.
      Checked options are displayed as selected by default.
      Up to 1,000 options can be set. The maximum number of characters allowed for each option name is 128 in half-width or full-width.
  • Layout
    • Select the layout of options to be displayed from the horizontal or vertical layout.
      When the app is used on a mobile device, options are displayed vertically regardless of this setting.

    • A string used for specifying this field in formulas or APIs.
