Searching Data
You can search Kintone for matches to keywords that you specify in the search box.
Searching All of Kintone
- From the portal screen, enter the search keyword into the search box.
- Click

The search result is displayed.
How to View the "Search Results" Screen
This section explains how to view the "Search Results" screen.
Field | Description |

Narrowing the Search Scope
Kintone enables you not only to search all contents but also to search in a specific app or space.
Searching in an App
You can limit your search to the scope of a specific app.
Open the app to be searched, enter the keyword in the search box on the upper side of the screen.
Searching in a Space
You can limit your search to the scope of a specific space.
Open the space to be searched, enter the keyword in the search box on the upper side of the screen.
Using Multiple Search Keywords
You can specify multiple keywords to find. You can specify up to 10 keywords.
- To find records that contain all of the words 'A', 'B', and 'C':
Example: The words are considered as three keywords.
A B C
- To find records that contain all of the words 'A', 'B', and 'C' in this order exactly:
Enclose all words in a pair of double quotation marks (").
Example: The words are considered as one keyword.
"A B C"
Precautions on Entering Search Keywords
You need to keep in mind the following notes when entering search keywords.
When Using Japanese or Chinese
- Katakana is not distinguished between half- and full-width characters.
- You can specify up to 10 keywords.
- Any word containing two or more number of characters should be searched with a keyword of as many or more number of characters. Any word containing only one character should be searched with a keyword of one character.
Example: When searching for the word "日本語"- Valid keywords: "日本", "本語", or "日本語"
- Invalid keyword: "日", "本", or "語"
When Using Alphanumeric Characters
- The search is not case-sensitive and does not distinguish between full- and half-width characters.
- You can specify up to 10 keywords.
- Alphanumeric characters can be searched by a word.
Example: Finding fields whose value is "cybozu kintone2"
- Specify "cybozu" or "kintone2" as a keyword. Partially matched keywords such as "cy" and "kintone" cannot be used for search.
- Each of the words "cybozu" and "kintone2" is considered as one keyword. If you specify the two words without quotation marks, the search will return fields that contain both words.
When Using Symbols
- Symbols are not distinguished between half- and full-width characters.
- You can specify up to 10 keywords.
- The following symbols are removed from search keywords.
- Punctuation marks in Japanese and Chinese
- The following full- and half-width symbols
