Sum Feature and Graph Feature

App users can sum up records.
App administrators can save sum settings as graphs.

  • By using the sum feature in your app, you can sum up numbers or records based on a record list, and create a graph (bar chart, pie chart, line chart) or a table.
  • With the graph feature, you can save sum settings in your app, and users can view the saved bar charts, pie charts, line charts, or tables.

Both the record list page and the app settings page provide the same sum conditions to apply.
Both pages also allow exporting results to files as long as the administrators or users have appropriate permission.
The following sections describe how the record list page and the app settings page differ in the way to create graphs.

App Users Use the Record List Page

Access the record list page of an app and set sum conditions. Create a graph in the view screen Use the bookmark feature to save any sum conditions as a bookmark. Bookmark this page Screen to bookmark a page Screen in which the graph is bookmarked The saved condition is not shared with other users.

App Administrators Use the App Settings Page

In the Graph tab of the app settings page, create a graph and save it. This action is allowed only for app administrators.
The saved condition appears in the Graph drop-down list on the record list page so that non-administrator users also can use the condition. Screen to configure graphs in app settings Confirm the graph you created in the view screen

Administrators can set a "Periodic Report" to automate generating summarized results periodically.
