When the Message "Cannot save the record because of error(s) in the following input data." is Displayed
If there is any problem (required data not entered, etc.) when saving records, you receive "Cannot save the record because of error(s) in the following input data." message.
The name of the problematic field that needs to be fixed is displayed under the error message.
Check the Error Details Displayed Under the Specified Field
Check the error details displayed under the specified field, and change the data concerned.
For information on errors displayed, see the "Solutions" section.
If "Cannot display the item name" is included in the error message, the user might not have view permission for that field.
To solve the problem, the user needs to ask the app administrator to check app settings.

If You Cannot Locate the Specified Field
If the field name specified in the error message is not displayed in the form to enter a record, that field name might be hidden. In the record entry screen, find the field below which the error message is displayed, and change the value.
If you cannot find the relevant field in the record entry screen, that field may temporarily be hidden as a result of the customization of API or plugin.
Ask the app administrator whether there is any problem due to customization or plugin settings.
Note that even when any filed name is hidden on the form, that field name is displayed in the error message or filter settings. Therefore, you should set an easily understandable field name.
Described below are solutions to errors that are displayed below the fields.
Error: Required field.
The field should not be left empty.
If the filed is a lookup field, there must be the value entered.
Error: (Date, Date and time, Time) Format is not valid
The date must be specified in the year-month-date format (Example: 2020-06-05). If you are using Kintone in English, you must specify the date in the month/date/year format (Example: 06/05/2020).
Time must be specified in the 12-hour clock format (05:25 PM) or in the 24-hour clock format (17:25).
You can change the time format in the Personal Settings.

Error: (URL, E-mail address) Format is not valid
There are restrictions on certain types of values (Web site address, phone number, and e-mail address) in the Link field. For details, see the "Field Entry Limits" page.
If you need to change the type of value, ask the app administrator.
Error: Enter more than n characters.
You must specify a value using more than the Minimum (set in the "Number of Characters (Use integer)" of the field settings) number of characters.
Error: Enter less than n characters.
You must specify a value using less than the Maximum (set in the "Number of Characters (Use integer)" of the field settings) number of characters.
Error: Only numbers are allowed.
You can enter only half-width numbers in the Number field.
You cannot use full-width numbers and commas.
Error: This value already exists in another record.
If "Prohibit duplicate values" is selected in the field settings, you must enter a value that does not exist in other records.
Error: Enter 64 characters or less.
If the "Prohibit duplicate values" option is selected in the field settings, you must enter a value using 64 characters or less.
Error: The number of digits exceeds the maximum allowed.
This error is displayed for the Number field if any of the following is true.
- You entered a value that exceeds the total number of digits specified in the Misc Settings.
You must enter a value that is less than the "total number of digits" specified in the "Misc Settings", or change the total number of digits.
- You entered a value using more than 64 characters, when "Prohibit duplicate values" is selected in the Number field settings.
In such a case, you must enter a value using 64 characters or less.
If you want to change the Misc Settings or disable "Prohibit duplicate values" option, ask the app administrator.
