Troubleshooting: Desktop Notifications from Kintone Don't Appear
If Kintone desktop notifications do not appear, it may be due to one of the following reasons.
Desktop notifications have not been enabled in all of the necessary settings
To receive desktop notifications from Kintone, desktop notifications need to be enabled in all of the following settings.
- Settings to be configured by a Kintone Administrator:
- The Update Options settings in Kintone Administration
- Settings to be configured by users who want to receive desktop notifications:
- Personal Settings in Kintone
- Web browser's notification settings
- OS's notification settings
See below for the steps to enable desktop notifications in each of the settings.
Enabling desktop notifications in Kintone Administration
A Kintone Administrator needs to select the Enable this feature: Receive "To Me" Notifications on Desktop When Kintone is Opened in Google Chrome Browser checkbox under New Features in Development on the "Update Options" screen.
For the detailed steps to configure the Update Options settings, refer to Steps to enable or disable new features.
