Setting App Permissions

In Kintone, permissions can be used to control what features can be used by an end user for each app.
 
App Level permissions that can be set include:
  • Managing Apps: This grants the user access to all the App's settings
  • Processing records
    • Adding
    • Viewing
    • Editing
    • Deleting
    • Import from File
  • Exporting records or summarized results to a file

By default, the user who created an app is allowed to perform the following actions:

  • Manage App
  • Import from File
  • Export records or summarized results to a file
Note:
  • Regardless of the permission setting, apps in threads that belong to a private space are not accessible to users who have not joined the space.
  • App permissions can also be set for Records and Fields. For more details, see Setting Permissions in an App.

Setting App Level Permissions:

  1. Within an app, click the Gear wheel Screen_Shot_2017-07-19_at_9.43.03_AM.png on the right.
  2. Under Permissions, select App
  3. Enter a User, Group, or Department, or select a User Field from the app.
  4. Select the check box for each action you want to allow.
  5. Priority goes from top to bottom. To change the priority of a row, drag the arrow icon at the left of the row to move the row. 
  6. Click to delete a row. 
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Update App.
