Types of Administrators
Types of Administrators
There are the following three types of administrators for Kintone:
- Kintone Users & System Administrator
An administrator who configures various settings, such as adding users and security settings. - Administrator
A special user that is created automatically when the domain is created. By default, the Administrator account is "Inactive" and thus it cannot be used as a user. For details, refer to the following page:

A user who manages users and departments in a certain department. This administrator does not exist by default, but can be created by Kintone Users & System Administrators as needed. For details, refer to the following page:

Permissions for Kintone Users & System Administrators
The following lists actions that are allowed to the Kintone Users & System Administrators:
- Edit the profile
- Purchase, quote, or terminate a service
- Sign up for a service trial
- Order or quote additional/fewer users
- IP Address Restrictions settings
- Change the domain name
- Add, edit, or delete the allowed users of a service
- Configure the password policy
- Configure the Kintone system settings
- View audit logs
