Troubleshooting Problems in Mozilla Firefox

Even if your Web browser is configured with settings recommended by Cybozu, the problems such as inability to display product sites and broken layout might occur. This section describes how to troubleshoot such problems.

The assumed environment is as follows.

  • Windows
    • OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
    • Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 58.0.2
  • Mac
    • OS: macOS version 10.13.3
    • Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 58.0.1

STEP 1: Checking Your Web Browser Settings

Change the settings to follow the recommendation of Cybozu.

If STEP 1 solves the problem, skip STEP 2 and the subsequent steps.

STEP 2: Clearing Cookies and Cache Information

  1. Start your Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Select History in the menu bar, then select Clear Recent History. Menu bar screen If you do not see the menu bar, follow these steps.

    2. From the menu on the left, select Privacy & Security, and click Clear Recent History under History. Privacy & Security screen

  3. From the Time range to clear drop-down list, select Everything.
  4. Under History, select Cookies and Cache check boxes.
  5. Check the time range to clear and other options, and then click Clear Now. Clear All History screen
  6. Check that the problem is solved.
    If it is not solved, proceed to STEP 3.
    If this step solves the problem, skip STEP 3 and the subsequent steps.

STEP 3: Disabling Add-Ons

Add-ons added to your Web browser might affect displaying interfaces or product behavior. For details, refer to the Mozilla help.

Disable add-ons one by one and check whether the trouble is solved.

  1. Click Tools, and then click Add-ons. Tools menu If you do not see the menu bar, click the icon Icon to open menus, and click Add-ons. Image of menus opened

  2. On the left side menu, select Extensions, select the add-on you wish to disable, and click Disable. Add-ons Manager screen

  3. Check that the problem is solved.

    • If the problem is not solved:
      Repeat steps 1 to 2 to try disabling other add-ons.
    • If the problem is solved:
      Troubleshooting is completed. Reenable the add-ons that didn't affect the problem.
