Troubleshooting Problems in Google Chrome

Even if your Web browser is configured with settings recommended by Cybozu, the problems such as inability to display product sites and broken layout might occur. This section describes how to troubleshoot such problems.

The assumed environment is as follows.

  • OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
  • Web browser: Google Chrome 64.0.3282.186

STEP 1: Checking Your Settings

Change the settings to follow the recommendation of Cybozu.

If STEP 1 solves the problem, skip STEP 2 and the subsequent steps.

STEP 2: Clearing Cookies and Cache Information

  1. Start your Google Chrome.
  2. On the toolbar, click the icon Icon to set your Google Chrome, click More tools, and then click Clear browsing data. Image of the Google Chrome setting screen
  3. Select the Basic tab and select All time from the Time range drop-down list.
  4. Select the Cookies and other site data check box and the Cached images and files check box.
  5. Check the time range and other options, and then click Clear data. Image of screen to clear browsing data
  6. Close the Settings tab.
  7. Check that the problem is solved.
    If it is not solved, proceed to STEP 3.
    If this step solves the problem, skip STEP 3 and the subsequent steps.

STEP 3: Disabling Extensions

Extensions added to your Web browser might affect displaying interfaces or product behavior. For details, see the Chrome Help provided by Google.

Disable extensions one by one and check whether the trouble is solved.

  1. Start your Google Chrome.

  2. Click the icon Icon to set your Google Chrome, click More tools, and then click Extensions. Image of the Google Chrome setting screen

  3. Deselect check boxes for extensions you want to disable. Image of the Extensions screen

  4. Close the Extensions tab.

  5. Check that the problem is solved.

    • If the problem is not solved:
      Select other extension and repeat steps 1 to 3, to see whether it solves the problem.
    • If the problem is solved:
      Troubleshooting is completed. Extensions that do not affect your browser's behavior can be enabled again as needed.
