Troubleshooting Problems in Safari

Even if your Web browser is configured with settings recommended by Cybozu, the problems such as inability to display product sites and broken layout might occur. This section describes how to troubleshoot such problems.

The assumed environment is as follows.

  • OS: macOS version 10.13.3
  • Web browser: Safari 11.0.3

STEP 1: Checking Your Web Browser Settings

Change the settings to follow the recommendation of Cybozu.

If STEP 1 solves the problem, skip STEP 2 and the subsequent steps.

STEP 2: Clearing Cookies and Cache Information

  1. Start your Safari.
  2. From the Safari menu, select Preferences. Image showing the Preferences link surrounded by the red rectangle box
  3. Select Privacy and click Manage Website Data. Privacy screen
  4. Select cookies or cache to clear, and then click Remove.
    If you clear everything, click Remove All. Privacy screen
  5. Check that the Website data you selected in step 4 is cleared, and then click Done.
  6. Click × to close the Preferences dialog box.
  7. Check that the problem is solved.
    If it is not solved, proceed to STEP 3.
    If this step solves the problem, skip STEP 3 and the subsequent steps.

STEP 3: Disabling Safari Extensions

Safari extensions added to your Web browser might affect displaying interfaces or the product behavior. For details, see the support page provided by Apple.

Disable extensions one by one and check whether the trouble is solved.

  2. Select Extensions and deselect check boxes for extensions you want to disable. Extensions screen

  3. Close the Preferences dialog box.

  4. Check that the problem is solved.

    • If the problem is not solved:
      Select other extension and repeat steps 1 to 4, to see whether it solves the problem.
    • If the problem is solved:
      Troubleshooting is completed. Extensions that do not affect your browser's behavior can be enabled again as needed.
